Hello lovelies,
I just found outfit of the day pictures that I took back in April. I though to myself that I might as well post it here anyway. I am wearing boots but that is because it was still spring.
Items: skirt-zara, cardigan-banana republic, scarf-forever21, boots-sent from italy, tights-chloe, flower earings-forever21.

Outfit of the day 29-06-2010

Here is another outfit of the day! I had to go to work, then pick up my mother with my dad and go grocery shopping. Thus, didn't do much! Just a comfy casual outfit, yet still appropriate for the office. Clothes: blue top-banana republic, cardigan-zara, pants-miu miu, red flats-shopruche, necklace-from my best friend.

Summer Beauty Guide

  • BRAIDS & WAVES; Not much to say for this one except that waves and braids are the way to go this summer. Braids are heavily influenced by the spring 2010 catwalks all over Europe. Particularly prominent on Alexander Wang's Spring 2010 runway, and also spotted at Miuccia Prada's Miu Miu Spring 2010.

  • Fun shaded lipsticks. Trust me, they work with any skin color. Pair them with neutral eyes and be ready to pop with them. Especially go for corals and fun pink, violet shades.

  • Pastels haven't only be raging all over clothes and makeup, but nails as well. Go ahead and shellac your nails with one of those hot hues: Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour ($26, at all Chanel beauty counters) in “Nouvelle Vague.” Yves Saint Laurent Long-Lasting Nail Lacquer ($24 each, at Holt Renfrew) in “Ultra Violet” and “Ultra Orange.”

  • Colored eyeliners are perfect for summer season! They brighten up your eyes and give a fun, youthful vibe. Take advantage of them this summer!

  • Of course you want a "healthy glow", but the name says it itself- Healthy-, so please avoid the harmful rays of the sun UVA/UVB and invest in a good SPF. Don't you worry, because you can still get that summery glow by using powered or cream bronzers (there are so many options out there).

Outfit of the day 28-06-2010

Today was very warm and sunny! Perfect day to wear white!
Items: White linen skirt from Banana Republic, white top from Michael Kors, necklace from Forever21, hair; washed and air dried to get that beach wavy texture.

Irene's picture perfection newcomer

Okay, so I received an update subscription from and this girl stroke me so much. She might not have the unusual look like Gemma Ward (which I personally love), but she has a timeless classical beauty appeal to her. She is an 18 years old girl from Czech Republic. She can totally do both the high fashion and the more commercial side of the business. Let me know what you think? Do you like her, or do you think she is a deja-vu?

Candy Colored Fashion

Pastels are so in this summer! I absolutely love the colors! They aren't only easy to the eye, but have the power to refresh and lighten you up on hot summery days! I personally am really into light pink and minty colors, will definitely stock up my wardrobe.
I was looking around polyvore for some great collections and I came across many beautiful ones! Which pastel will you be wearing mostly this summer?
xoxo, Irene

Summer's Top Style Rules

Hello lovelies,

today at work I picked up a Harper's Bazaar magazine and surfed through their web as well. I enjoy reading their artciles on season's trends because they are so up to date. Notice that not all trends are to be followed but if you think a trend expresses your individuality, then go for it! I don't follow everything but there are surely some that totally speak to me!

Loose-fitting pants; "Harem, dhoti, slouchy: No matter what you call them, loose-fitting pants are the pair to have for the warm months ahead. Team with a vest, as shown at Isabel Marant. The fashion-forward look works for a night out (dress them up with heels) or a day around town (flats and a jean jacket tank or a soft jacket)."

Printed-dress; It can be patterns, florals, ethnics, etc. "Be it a beautiful bouquet of florals or a digitized ikat, a pattern is this summer's top option for rocking a feminine frock. If you like the maxi version, Stella McCartney is your go-to girl. If you prefer a more mini cut, everyone from Louis Vuitton to Peter Pilotto sent this sexy silhouette down the runway. For a complete look, throw on an abbreviated leather jacket, a long, thin cardigan (belted, of course), or a menswear-influenced tuxedo jacket."

Sunglasses; "Channel your inner material girl with a pair of sunglasses designed by Madonna, from her new MDG capsule collection for Dolce & Gabbana."

The Army-Green Jacket; "The military-inspired topper is officially reporting for duty. Get in on the action with a worn-in anorak. Alexa Chung saluted the style by wearing a Louis Vuitton patch-pocket jacket with tights."

Pastels; "Francisco Costa's all-the-colors-of-the-rainbow palette comes to life in his lightweight summer dresses at Calvin Klein. Bubble-gum pink, acid yellow, ice blue, and aquamarine are some of the chicest colors of the season, and metallic accessories add the perfect finishing touch."

Coral Polish; "Come summer, everyone wants their toes and hands to shine. Spice up your nails with a coral-infused polish. This striking shade will keep you looking resort chic."

Conservative Glamour; "Beautifully cut suits that have legs from season to season, year to year — thanks, Tommy Hilfiger."
